We encourage students to be responsible library patrons. Developing this skill from an early age encourages independence and responsibility. As students progress through Peacham Elementary School, they acquire more privileges and responsibilities. Students are responsible for their library materials, returning them on time, renewing them as needed, and to take proper care of their library books. We do not fine students for overdue books, instead encouraging taking an active role renewing and returning their books. Accidents are a part of life and from time to time, library books get damaged. We encourage students to tell the teacher librarian of any and all damage to a library book in their care.

End of the Year Circulation Procedures
The end of the school year is a hectic time in the Library Lab. Final overdue notices to students, staff, and families will be sent out the last week of May. Students and staff are asked to return all books and materials. No more library books will be checked out or renewed two weeks from the projected last day of school without the express permission of the librarian. Students may continue to use the Library Lab for reading and research.
